Bentley Heath C.E. Primary School - come and have a 'photo tour'

This is the front entrance to our school - come with us and have a walk around! On the right of the school entrance you can see the entrance to St. James' Church.  Crossover Childcare and Noah's Ark Playgroup meet in the Church during the week.
Our gardening club has been very busy helping Mr Howard plant lots of flowers ...we can see more of their work as we go round the corner into the KS2 playground.
Walking across the junior playground, you can see the entrance from Moorfield Avenue on the far side On the opposite side of the junior playground is our Jubilee Garden and behind that is our Conservation Area.
In our quiet garden are even more flowers and hanging baskets. Standing in our Jubilee Garden you can see the beginning of the playing fields and the corner of our new junior cloakrooms.  We have beautiful trees and bushes all around our grounds.
Here is the lower junior entrance off the junior playground.  The tallest part of the building is the school hall. The willow structures beside the Jubilee Garden give us shade in the summer time.
Here is the Jubilee garden, with its seats and planters.  All the trees at the back are in our Conservation Area.  We are very proud of all the 'green' areas around our school.
We have had wonderful displays of flowers this year, no wonder some of the children won 'green hands' awards.
This is the sign showing when our garden, funded by the PTA, was opened.  Here is the gate to our conservation area, we have two ponds and lots of trees and wildlife in this area.
Here you can see inside our conservation area. This is a wonderful, peaceful place to observe and enjoy nature.
We have a pond where we can go pond-dipping... ...and in the Spring we have lots of frogs and frogspawn...
...and all sorts of other wildlife.  We have put up bird houses to provide nesting places. This is the sign on the Conservation Area gate, it is kept locked for our safety, but we are often taken in to look at the wildlife.
We are now at the Moorfield Avenue entrance looking across the field towards our football pitch.  You can see the seats we have all around our playground. Turning towards the right we can see the infant playground and the rest of our playing fields.  We think we are really lucky to have such lovely grounds and so many trees.
Looking back the way we have come, the houses you can see are in Moorfield Avenue Look at the end of the building - those are our new junior cloakrooms, boys' one side and girls' the other. The junior playground is round the building on the right.
Here you can see the infant playground on the right, the Foundation Stage Outdoor Classroom in the centre, and you can just see our Nursery building on the left. Going a little further around you can see the Nursery playground on the far left. The houses you can see are the backs of the houses in Bullivents Close.
Here is our Foundation Stage play equipment.. ...and here is the covered outdoor classroom that we can use when the weather is bad.
The Nursery has their own play equipment and their own playground and garden, with their own fence to keep them safe. When the weather is fine we can use the school playing fields for our playtime, the trees help provide us with shade.
Another view of the infant playground.  You can see from this photo that our school is all on the ground floor. We are all on one level and the only steps we have are the few into the Nursery. When we get closer to the school you can see the entrance to the infant playground, and the new fence around the Foundation outdoor classroom.
Here is our Nursery outdoor area taken from the Foundation outdoor classroom... ...you can see its has newly planted flower beds .
Back onto the school field at the end of the Junior playground... ...we now have play equipment for all our KS2 children to use.
...and another set for our KS1 children next to the KS1 playground. Classes take turns to use the play equipment.
Inside our school we have lots of exciting displays, this one was made by our Reception classes. This is Class 3, but all our classes welcome visitors to our school.
Here is our school hall, we eat our lunches in here and do P.E.  The kitchen is behind the shutters on the right. Here is our KS1 open area, looking towards our Foundation Stage.
Here is our IT suite... ...and here is another view of all our computers .
This is part of our KS2 open area, ...and here is our library .
Here we are looking down the KS2 corridor towards our new changing rooms, and here we are in one of our Y6 classrooms.
We hope you have enjoyed looking at our school.  Many of these photographs were taken by our Year 6 pupils to show you what they are proud of at Bentley Heath School.
