runs from 9.05am until 11.35am, and the afternoon session from 12.35pm until 3.05pm. The Nursery breaks vary in timing and duration to fit in with the other activities taking place during the session.

Punctuality

We believe that punctuality should be valued and hope you will encourage your child to arrive at school on time.  There is no direct supervision of children before 8.45am or after 3.15pm, except as part of organised extra-curricular activities, so children should not arrive before 8.45am in the morning and should leave promptly in the afternoon.  Children who are normally collected from school are expected to report to their class teacher or School Office staff if the expected adult does not arrive.  Parents who are delayed on the way to collect children are asked to contact the School, so that the children can be reassured.

Each year group consists of two mixed ability classes.  Children are taught by their class teachers for most areas of the curriculum, although arrangements may be made for certain specialist teaching by other members of staff at appropriate times.  In Key Stage 1 and 2 children may be set by ability for Literacy and Numeracy.

Jewellery

In the interests of safety, pupils will not be allowed to wear jewellery to school.  children with pierced ears should wear plain studs only, and these may have to be removed or covered for P.E./Games

Personal Property

It is part of the educational process for children to assume responsibility for their own possessions.  Please ask your child to take care of his/her belongings, which should all be clearly named.  We are unable to accept responsibility for items which may be lost.
